Originally from Minnesota, Adam Foster Jacobs is a narrative director, screenwriter and AFI fellow based in Los Angeles. His character-driven films often satirize the absurdity of American life, with high-concept imagery and unexpected detours.

Adam directs features, music videos, commercials, and shorts, often as part of creative collective Elbow Juice (elbowjuice.co). His latest short PACKAGE+ is inspired by his prior experiences as a delivery driver. It premiered at this year’s Beverly Hills Film Festival. Currently in post-production is GAS STATION HOT DOG, a surrealist coast-to-coast documentary and anthropological study through the lens of hot dogs.

Adam has worked on television projects for National Geographic, History Channel, CNN, and Discovery+. His clients and collaborators include Bose, Planned Parenthood, Patagonia, National Parks Service, MN Opera, University of Minnesota, Hennepin Healthcare and more.
